Biomass and Chainsaw
Biomass is used as a power source in the early stages of the game. This article shows the different biomass sources and how they can be automated to make solid biomass. The chainsaw enables faster collecting of biomass material and also enables Obstacle Clearing.
Biomass
Biomass is generated from wood and leaves and burns slower in the biomass burners. Automating the creation of this means once again you don't need to stand at the craft bench manually making it.
Obstacle Clearing, Chainsaw and Solid Biofuel
When you unlock obstacle clearing you can make the chainsaw at the equipment workbench. The chainsaw allows you to cut down trees and it also clears objects in the area. Solid Biofuel is also unlock which is required to fuel the chainsaw and it is also a more efficient fuel for the biomass burners.
Biomass Part 2
After moving the biomass constructors to foundations near the hub, additional solid biomass constructors are added to the production line.
Alien Carapace Biomass
You can turn the Alien Carapace you collect from hogs into biomass and then solid biofuel. Another way to help power those biomass burners. Also, Alien Organs can be turned into biomass. Both carapace and organs need to be researched in the MAM before they can be turned into biomass.
